Outside is where we Learn
Colorado TU is actively working to engage the next generation of conservationists and get kids outside! We do this through education and outreach to youth across the state; providing hands-on, field-based opportunities that foster environmental awareness, outdoor skills, leadership development, and a whole lot of fun.
stream of engagement
Colorado Trout Unlimited's Stream of Engagement starts with kids around age eight and extends into their college years. Our unique programs can be adjusted for various ages, venues, grades, and subject matter. By providing multiple opportunities for youth to engage with the outdoors and learn about their environment, we help to foster a strong conservation ethic in the next generation of young leaders and anglers.
That is why Colorado TU offers a range of youth education programs and resources:
Slo-mo cast. This was taken during the collaborative fly fishing and conservation program we held this Wednesday on Clear Creek. Youth from @elk_kids Urban Rangers program got one-on-one experience learning how to fly fish in the mountains. This was part of CTU Intern, Nick Krishnan's project with us to teach Denver Youth about fly fishing and river conservation. This wouldn't have been possible without Nick, all the volunteers, and the ELK staff & students. . . . . #elkandtrout #flyfishing #youthoutreach #denveryouth #urbanrangers #elkkids #denver #colorado #mountains #wanderlust #travel #rivers #fishing #trout #clearcreek #jeffersoncounty #cpw #publiclands #slomo #casting #flyrod #eagleclaw #fishpond #video #vid #troutunlimited
