This project has been postponed and will be updated to reflect the new date (not July 11).
The US Forest Service is building a stretch of buck and rail fencing at the Rock Creek Trailhead to help manage traffic away from the restoration area and riparian zone. The project is located within the Greenback recovery area and will help prevent erosion and other user impacts. The USFS and CTU are looking for 10 volunteers to help build fence for a day in a beautiful section of national forest!
Volunteers will help by carrying supplies and timber, pounding nails, moving rocks/debris, and other related activities.
Project Location and Time: Volunteers should meet the USFS at the Jefferson Market in Jefferson, CO at 9:00am. Volunteers will then follow the USFS to the project site. Carpooling is encouraged.
What to Bring: Please bring water, lunch, layers, suncreen, work shoes, and WORK GLOVES (the forest does not have extras, so please bring your own - you will need them).
