Project Description: Join fellow TU members, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the US Forest Service in an effort to stock sections of Herman Gulch this summer. The project will entail hiking 20-30 pounds worth of fish and gear up steep switchbacks to access the river. Once volunteers arrive at specific release locations, they will be able to release native Greenbacks into this important recovery area! This project is rated as Moderate - Strenuous.
Date/Time: Volunteers will meet at the Herman Gulch Trailhead at 9:30am on July 17, 2019. (NOTE: time may change slightly due to CPW logistics. Volunteers will receive confirmation ahead of project day).
Location: Herman Gulch Trailhead, close to Loveland Pass exit. Please carpool if possible, as there is limited parking at the project area. To join in on a TU carpool from the Dino Lot, please contact Rick Dornfeld at email@example.com
What to Bring: hiking backpack (55 liters minimum), water, sunscreen, lunch, snacks, sturdy hiking boots, hat/sunglasses, rain jacket, layers. Note: waders are not needed.
