Greenback Spawning: Zimmerman Lake

Zimmerman Lake is one of the primary sources of Greenback Cutthroat Trout broodstock in Colorado.  Volunteers are needed to help CPW biologists sort, net, and spawn fish during the following days:

June 26, 2018 (Only one spot left!)

June 29, 2018 (two spots available)

July 3, 2018 (Only one spot left!)

July 6, 2018 (FULL)

Volunteers will be required to stand in the lake for over an hour, so good waders and warm layers are a must!

Project Time: Volunteers must be up at the lake by 8:00 AM, which includes a solid 30-40 minute hike.  Participants can also catch a ride up to the lake with CPW by meeting them in the parking lot by 6:45 AM.

Project Location: Zimmerman Lake (near the top of Cameron Pass, CO)
