Earth Day Bear Creek Restoration Project and Fishing Contest

April 22 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join the Cutthroat Chapter Saturday April 22, 2017 on urban Bear Creek to celebrate Earth Day in cooperation with the City of Lakewood.  After a lite provided breakfast we will help restore a nearby riparian area by planting willows, cottonwoods, and other native plants.  After a provided lunch we will return to the stream for a low key three hour fishing contest with acknowledgements for angling achievements such as most fish caught and most flies lost.  The data gained from the contest will help Colorado Parks and Wildlife in their hope to restore the brown trout fishery that historically resides in those waters.

RSVP:  Please RSVP to George Franklin at georgefr@aol.com or 303.902.9827 to ensure for the appropriate amount of food and materials.
