The 2017 CTU Fall Rendezvous will be taking place in Estes Park on Saturday, October 21. The meeting will last all day and provide participants an opportunity to vote on key CTU decisions, as well as learn about upcoming programs for 2018. Please register for the rendezvous below.
There will be an option for fishing and restoration site visits on Sunday, October 22.
Saturday Meeting Agenda
9:00 am – 11:30am: Fall Business Meeting (Budget, Public Policy Positions, Litigation Updates, etc.)
11:30am – 12:30pm: LUNCH (provided on site)
12:30pm – 2:00pm: Youth Education Work Group “Listening Session” – a brief presentation on the work group’s concepts for the TU youth “Stream of Engagement” followed by questions, suggestions and other feedback from our chapter volunteers: this is your chance to share what is (and isn’t) working for your youth efforts, and to identify what types of support would be most valuable (led by Dick Jefferies)
2:00pm – 3:30pm: TU in Colorado Vision for 2018 – sharing key Colorado initiatives identified by board work groups for the upcoming year, and getting chapter questions and feedback and ideas on how they wish to engage with planned – or suggested/added – 2018 priorities (led by Cam Chandler)
3:30pm – 5:00pm: Cutthroat Restoration – interactive session sharing results from 2017 CTU and chapter efforts on Greenbacks, Colorado River, and Rio Grande cutthroats. The session will also discuss planned projects and needs for 2018, including opportunities for cross-chapter coordination (led by Dan Omasta)
6:00pm – 8:00pm: No-host dinner. Join CTU members for an optional group dinner after the meeting. (Location: Nicky’s Steak House)
Sunday October 22, from 9:00 am – afternoon (optional day)
Option 1: Join the leaders of Alpine Anglers on a half-day tour of some of their conservation projects in the Estes park area. Meet at 8:00am in the Ridgeline Hotel lobby.
Option 2: Fish some of the great local waters in Rocky Mountain National Park! Alpine Anglers will be supplying some local knowledge to help folks get into some high-alpine trout!
